Are you a young leader looking to help fight the dropout crisis and get involved in the Alliance’s work? Get started on Impact 5, the Alliance’s new community action guide that helps you reflect on the Five Promises, assess their availability in your community, and then create a project to help the children and youth in your community get more of the resources they need to succeed.

WHAT IS IMPACT 5?
Impact 5 is your way into the Impact Network, a national movement of young people working to improve graduation rates by helping their communities be better places for children and youth. Members of the Impact Network know that every community is different, and Impact 5 will help you best understand the Five Promises (the key resources that every child needs to succeed) and their impact in your community. Once you understand your community’s needs, Impact 5 will provide you with the know-how to plan, fundraise, and get the support for youth in your community.

WHAT IS YOUR ROLE IN THE ALLIANCE?
By undertaking Impact 5, you join the Impact Network, through which you’ll gain access to more resources, have the opportunity to have your project highlighted in Alliance publications, and enter for a chance to win trips to upcoming events and other prizes. After your project is completed, the numbers of children you help will be added to our running count. Your work will directly help America’s Promise
Alliance reach the more children with more Promises, and help us ensure that more young people are graduating on time from high school. Finally, your successes will help motivate others to provide more of the Five Promises to the nation’s youth.
